About the Job Now offering a limited‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus! MedStar Health is looking for a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join our team at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital. Primary Duties Administers contrast media into the coronary arteries as directed by a Cardiologist during a cardiac catheterization procedure; recognizes effects of pathology and vital signs to determine the appropriate pressure of each hand injection. Applies knowledge of normal physiologic and electrocardiographic sequences of cardiac contraction, recognizes minor and dangerous arrhythmias, and provides appropriate patient care. Functions as a first assistant by scrubbing independently, aiding in manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters, and administering contrast media per physician instruction. Schedules and maintains orderly patient flow. Maintains adequate interventional and cardiac supplies, patient records, and department check sheets; orders supplies from outside vendors using the hospital purchasing system and assists the supervisor with inventory control. Correctly enters patient and supply information into the RIS and/or computer system. Performs hemodynamic physiologic monitoring and records calculations for cardiovascular procedures, angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional imaging. Performs electrophysiology and ablation procedures, provides quality patient care throughout all phases in accordance with physician instructions and policy, and operates emergency equipment safely. Responds to on‑call emergencies per department policy. Handles pre‑procedural duties such as sterile tray preparation, procedural patient education, confirmation of lab work and patient history, and post‑procedural duties including observation and management of catheter/device insertion sites and discharge instructions. Provides patient transportation, communicates care status to the receiving unit, and operates imaging equipment (digital equipment, pressure injectors, processors, rapid film changer, cine) to produce high‑quality diagnostic images per departmental policy. Qualifications Satisfactory completion of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology school of at least two years. Two years' experience in diagnostic radiology. Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or registration. Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility. Hiring range: USD $42.82 – USD $71.16 /Hr. #J-18808-Ljbffr
