We are looking for a Summer Camp Counselor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the summer camp community around us. Sweet discounts on child care and summer camp programs What is needed for this job: At least 18 years old High school graduate or equivalent Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children. The responsibilities we will trust you with: Supervise campers and implement activities. Ensure all campers can participate in all activities, no matter varied abilities whether physical, or intellectual. Actively participate in activities to encourage participation. Ensure appropriate behavior of campers and staff to avoid the risk of accidents. Assist in maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians regarding camper and camp activities.
