Mobile Service Technician

Mobile TechnicianThe Mobile Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality automotive maintenance and light repair services directly to customers through GM MobileService+. This role operates a fully equipped dealership-owned mobile service vehicle and performs approved services at customer homes, workplaces, or other off-site locations. The Mobile Technician ensures a premium customer experience while maintaining GM and dealership service standards.A short list of your tasks and responsibilities:Perform GM MobileService+ approved maintenance and light repair services, including but not limited to:Oil and filter changesTire rotation and tire repairBattery testing and replacementMultipoint vehicle inspectionsWiper blade replacementCabin and engine air filter replacementRecall and minor warranty work as authorizedOperate and maintain a mobile service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventoryFollow GM repair procedures, service bulletins, and safety guidelinesComplete accurate repair orders, inspections, and documentation using dealership DMS and mobile service appsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and next stepsRepresent the dealership professionally at all customer locationsEnsure cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the mobile service vehicleAdhere to scheduled appointments and manage time efficiently throughout the service routeEscalate complex repair needs to the dealership service departmentMaintain compliance with dealership policies, GM standards, and local/state regulationsWe're looking for a self-starter who meets the following qualifications:High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with a clean driving recordPrior automotive maintenance or technician experience (1–2 years preferred)Ability to work independently in a mobile/off-site environmentStrong customer service and communication skillsMechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditionsPreferred qualifications:GM Certified Technician (or willingness to obtain certification)ASE Certification(s)Experience using dealership DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)Previous mobile service or field technician experienceBasic diagnostic skills using GM scan toolsTools & Equipment:GM and dealership-supplied mobile service vehicleMobile tablet or device provided for work orders and customer communicationWork environment:Off-site customer locations including homes, offices, and commercial propertiesExposure to varying weather conditionsIndependent fieldwork with regular communication with dealership service leadershipHere's how we take care of you (and your loved ones):Medical, dental, and vision benefitsVoluntary benefits availablePaid time off upon hirePaid company holidays401(k) with conditional employer match after 6 months of employmentGrowth potentialAutomotive discountsIf you are qualified, you will be considered for this position: An Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V.
