Business Analyst

Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Business Analyst to support documenting and validating requirements for legacy application modernization initiatives. This role will focus on reverse-engineering legacy applications, developing requirements-based test cases, supporting accessibility remediation efforts, and creating reusable documentation assets to support long-term modernization efforts.

The Business Analyst will leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis activities while validating all outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs. The position will primarily support nine high-priority GRQ legacy applications and collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and program offices.

Responsibilities:

• Reverse-engineer and document current requirements including user stories, business processes, data flows, and edge-case scenarios using AI-assisted code analysis and documentation tools.
• Develop comprehensive requirements-based test cases including functional, regression, accessibility-specific, and security-focused testing scenarios.
• Create and maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, business processes, scan findings, test cases, and remediation activities.
• Facilitate WCAG 2.2 accessibility gap analysis and validation of accessibility fixes against business requirements.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements for legacy applications.
• Develop user stories, process flows, data flow diagrams, and edge-case documentation.
• Support and perform application testing activities including executing test cases, validating results, documenting defects, and assisting with remediation efforts.
• Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams and manage risks and issues.
• Leverage AI tools for rapid drafting of requirements, process documentation, and test case generation.
• Validate AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for work item management, requirements tracking, and test case documentation.
• Use SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and artifact storage.
• Create and maintain project documentation using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Support accessibility remediation efforts and help establish reusable requirements and testing assets for future modernization initiatives.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst writing business requirements and test cases required.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study may be substituted for experience requirement.
• Experience in reverse-engineering legacy applications to document business, functional, and technical requirements required.
• Proficiency in developing user stories, process flows, data flow diagrams, and edge-case scenarios required.
• Experience creating comprehensive requirements-based test cases including functional, regression, security, and accessibility testing required.
• Ability to support and perform application testing activities, including executing test cases, validating results, documenting defects, and assisting with remediation efforts required.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills required.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills required.
• Ability to create and maintain traceability matrices linking requirements to test cases, findings, and remediation work required.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for rapid drafting of requirements, process documentation, and test case generation required.
• Ability to validate AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs required.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple applications, stakeholders, and deliverables across complex initiatives required.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities required.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps for work item management, requirements tracking, and test case documentation required.
• Experience using SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and artifact storage required.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required.
