About the Role

The Product Owner serves as the voice of the customer and the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams. They are responsible for defining and prioritizing product features and requirements to ensure the delivery of high-value, user-centric solutions. By aligning product vision with business goals, the Product Owner drives the development of innovative products that meet customer needs and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This Digital Product Owner will focus on payments to drive market success, user experience (UX), and feature roadmap of payment products. The Product Owner will focus on secure, seamless, and efficient payment experiences for users while aligning cross-functional teams around overarching product goals and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Create and maintain user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and supporting design/feature details.
• Lead agile team. Drive outcomes and provide direction to development team so they can execute on the product, feature, outcome for the roadmap.
• Establish release targets for all features and enhancements, determine high-integrity commitments, and create and prioritize the team backlog.
• Compile customer research, competitor trends and present insights discovered.
• Work with stakeholders including call centers, back office, Compliance, Development, Marketing to complete feature delivery.
• Manage multiple digital products/platforms.
• Interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Provides constructive and timely performance reviews. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to identify customer needs
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to clearly articulate complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business value.
• Scrum Product Owner Certification or similar Product Owner certification is required and to be maintained while in this position.
• 4 + years of experience managing Digital Products including but not limited do (voice, chat, email, social media, marketing) at a financial institution.
• 3+ years of experience in agile development preferred or Advanced understanding of digital and IT product management and development.
• Ability to implement the ongoing and future investment in digital platforms as it aligns the company's overall business plan.
