Role Description The Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Salinas, CA, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment on mechanical installation and robotics project sites. This role involves conducting regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations, and ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Safety Coordinator will develop, update, and implement safety policies and procedures, deliver safety orientations and training sessions to team members and subcontractors, and maintain accurate safety records and documentation. Daily activities include monitoring job sites for adherence to safety standards, investigating incidents and near-misses, coordinating corrective actions, and collaborating with project managers and field supervisors to integrate safety into all phases of project execution. The role also supports continuous improvement by analyzing safety data, recommending preventive measures, and fostering a culture of safety awareness across the organization. OSHA 500 certification required. Experience delivering Safety Training, toolbox talks, and safety orientations, with skills in engaging diverse teams and reinforcing safe work practices. Proficiency in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Knowledge of OSHA and relevant state safety regulations, risk assessment methods, and hazard identification for mechanical installation and material handling environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with field crews, supervisors, and management and influence safety behaviors. Strong organizational and documentation abilities, including maintaining safety logs, training records, permits, and compliance reports. Experience in construction, mechanical installation, industrial safety, or a related field; prior experience in material handling or robotics environments is a plus. Relevant education or certification such as an associate or bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline, or professional credentials (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, CSP) preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr JDM Mechanical Installation, LLC
