Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities adapt to the evolving needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Follow established standards and guidelines for patient care. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, education, and clear instructions.
  • Coordinate efficient healthcare service delivery during patient visits. Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and current. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and relevant health history. Monitor and report abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly. Confirm patient comprehension of physician instructions upon discharge. Accurately document medical records and billing information in electronic systems.
  • Support physicians during testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Administer sample medications and maintain logs. Arrange necessary patient testing, admissions, and referrals. Retrieve and communicate test results to patients. Assist with minor surgeries and physical exams, ensuring proper consent is obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and verify understanding of treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as required.
  • Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean and orderly. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality. Manage supply orders to support clinical operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to changing responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program.

First shift, part-time, approximately 24 hours weekly.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
