Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler supports a clean, organized manufacturing operation by handling materials, packaging products, and performing basic quality checks on liquid, semi-solid, and powder formulations. This role ensures products are correctly packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment while maintaining compliance with current good manufacturing practices.

Available Shifts

1st Shift

• Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM (or 6:30 AM) - 3:00 PM • $16.50/hr

2nd Shift

• Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM • $18.15/hr

Responsibilities

• Perform simple in-process inspections to verify product quality, including checking for the presence and accuracy of printed lot numbers, expiration dates, and sequential number codes on shipping cartons.
• Inspect products and components to ensure they conform to established quality standards and immediately remove any dirty, damaged, or non-conforming filled goods or components from production.
• Package containers into cartons, securely tape cartons, and place completed cartons onto pallets in an organized manner.
• Apply product information or date coding onto shipping cartons on the packaging line, ensuring legibility and accuracy.
• Apply closures to filled containers on the packaging line, maintaining an application speed that keeps pace with the production line.
• Maintain a packing rate that consistently keeps up with the speed of the packaging line.
• Clean packaging equipment and facilities as directed by the Line Leader to support safe and efficient operations.
• Clean the general workstation regularly and follow current good manufacturing practices to maintain a clean and compliant work area.
• Handle materials, packaging components, and finished goods safely and efficiently to support continuous production flow.
• Support general warehouse and material handling activities such as packing, picking, and organizing materials as needed.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrate strong listening and comprehension skills to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to lift 15–20 lbs and perform physical activities such as bending, carrying, pushing, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
• Experience in material handling, packaging, packing, and warehouse operations.
• Capability to maintain productivity and packing rates aligned with the speed of the production line.
• Ability to perform basic quality inspections and identify non-conforming products or components.
• Willingness and ability to clean equipment, facilities, and workstations in accordance with current good manufacturing practices.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean, organized manufacturing environment focused on producing liquid, semi-solid, and powder products. You will work on the 2nd shift in a production and packaging setting that follows current good manufacturing practices. The role involves standing for extended periods, regular lifting of 15–20 lbs, and frequent bending, carrying, pushing, and kneeling while working on and around packaging lines and material handling areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Brockton, MA.

The pay range for this position is $18.15 - $18.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Brockton,MA.
