Lead Material Handler

We are seeking a Lead Material Handler who will be responsible for the movement, storage, and documentation of materials, parts, and finished goods within a warehouse/production facility. This role performs the same core duties as a Material Handler while providing day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the Material Handling team. Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Key Responsibilities Perform all Material Handler duties, including receiving, inspecting, labeling, storing, pulling, staging, and delivering materials. Accurately prepare customer orders for shipment and load/unload trucks, trailers, and containers. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Perform physical inventory and cycle counts. Report material discrepancies, damage, shortages, and other issues. Provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and support to Material Handlers. Help coordinate daily workloads and ensure production and shipping needs are met. Train and assist team members with proper procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation. Serve as a resource for the team and communicate issues or concerns to supervision. Promote a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Assist with other duties and cross-functional tasks as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of warehouse or material handling experience; lead experience preferred. Forklift experience required. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and carry items for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to provide direction and work effectively with a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
