Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The technologist will work under the direction of qualified physicians and assist with procedures involving cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Participate in procedures involving coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.
• Assist with PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and diagnostic catheterization .
• Support procedures including:
  • Pacemaker implantation
  • IABP placement/removal
  • Impella insertion
  • Left heart catheterization
  • Right heart catheterization
  • Rotablator procedures
  • Temporary pacemaker placement
  • Pulmonary artery line insertion
  • TAVR-related procedures
  • Upper and lower extremity angiography
• Perform accurate patient monitoring during procedures.
• Assist with equipment setup, room preparation, and procedure cleanup.
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with vascular closure systems.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and document during procedures.
• Assist physicians and the cardiovascular team throughout procedures.
• Participate in emergency response and rapid response activities.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and follow department policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5–2 years of experience in diagnostic/interventional radiology or Cath Lab.
• ARRT(R) certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• WV Medical Imaging License required.
• WV license may be submitted as pending but must be obtained before starting.
• Travel experience required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• ARRT CT is preferred.
• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Experience with diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology preferred.

Schedule & Call

• 4×10-hour day shifts
• Regular schedule: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• May work 7:30 AM–4:00 PM as needed.
• On-call required: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks, including holidays.
• No block scheduling.
• Holiday coverage may apply.

• 16 hours of orientation at $0 non-billable.
• RTO must be included at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience is listed in the compliance section.
• Two charge nurse references covering the past 2 years are required.
• Required certifications must be listed on the application.
• Candidate must be able to complete required modules before starting.
