This contract role is designed to provide essential coverage during an OT’s leave, offering a meaningful way to impact young learners in the Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana, CA area.
Your background in schools-based OT or COTA roles will allow you to seamlessly integrate into a supportive team and help students build crucial skills for school success. This position welcomes professionals with direct school experience, as well as those with teletherapy expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in fine motor skill interventions, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques for diverse student needs
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Background in teletherapy is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with educational plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create effective intervention strategies
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school requirements
- Adapt interventions for on-site and potential virtual delivery, optimizing student participation and achievement
- Mentor or consult with other team members as needed to promote best practices
