New Jersey Barred Defense Litigation Attorney | New York Based | 2–8+ Years' Experience

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 2-3 Days in Office)

Compensation: $120,000 – $200,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus

Admissions: New Jersey, New York (desirable)

Firm: National Law Firm

Billable Requirement: 1,920–2,000 Hours (Soft Target)

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join its New York City office . This opportunity offers the resources and platform of a large national firm alongside the collaborative feel of a close-knit litigation team. The successful candidate will join a growing practice handling a diverse range of sophisticated defense-side matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of General Liability defense matters across multiple practice areas:
\n
• Civil Litigation
\n
• Commercial Litigation
\n
• Construction Litigation
\n
• Corporate Disputes
\n
• Healthcare Litigation
\n
• Catastrophic Injury
\n
• General Liability Matters
\n
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
\n
• Maintain regular communication with clients, co-counsel, and internal stakeholders
\n
• Collaborate with colleagues across the New York office and broader national platform
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
\n
• Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar required
\n
• 2–8+ years of litigation experience, ideally on the defense side
\n
• Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills
\n
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing within a team-based environment
\n
