Tooling Technician - Stamping & Die Maintenance

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing team, focusing on the maintenance and optimization of high-tonnage stamping dies. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and upholding the highest quality standards for our automotive components. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex transfer and line dies to ensure peak performance. Operate precision tool room machinery to fabricate and modify die components. Collaborate with press operators to streamline setups and maximize production throughput. Apply root cause analysis to resolve technical issues and prevent recurring downtime. Ensure all tooling meets strict print specifications and quality requirements. Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen, to improve shop floor efficiency. Maintain environmental compliance standards, including wastewater handling duties as required. Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal stamping, die repair, or tool and die building. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and part prints. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to adjust tooling based on CMM or gaging data. Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 pounds and working in a fast-paced industrial environment. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Skills Technical trade education or relevant college coursework. Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 quality compliance standards. Experience with 1500-ton stamping presses or similar heavy-duty equipment. Demonstrated ability to utilize 5-Why or other structured problem-solving methodologies. #J-18808-Ljbffr Accelera
