Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for optimal performance.
• Perform post-processing and verify G-code for accuracy and machine compatibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to refine processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct test runs and make necessary program adjustments to achieve desired part specifications.
• Document machining processes, setup sheets, and tooling requirements.
• Optimize existing programs for efficiency, reduced cycle times, and improved surface finish.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM) for generating G-code.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience programming multi-axis CNC mills.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and its application to manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with various tooling, fixturing, and workholding strategies.
• Proven ability to optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model manipulation and fixture design.
• Familiarity with probing routines and in-process inspection.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing at the machine control.
