Global Industrial — Delivering Value Starts HereKey ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for helping achieve our company's Tax related goals to maintain efficiency in Sales Tax Audits. The Sales Tax Representative will be responsible for verifying all tax exemptions received based on each state's rules and regulations.Recognize and display the principles of the Company's Mission, Vision and ValuesResearch and validate all incoming tax exemption certificatesCode customer accounts exempt upon validation of certificates presentedProcess tax credits warranted to customer account or back to credit cardAssist customers by researching and validating tax rates as requestedResearch sales tax overpayments and expedite refunds when necessaryAssist customers and sales reps as needed in respect to each state's tax rulesSupport Manager with sales tax projects and auditsPerform other duties as assignedCompetencies and Skills Qualifications• At least 1-year experience in an Accounts Receivable environment. • Excellent PC skills required in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Chrome/Internet Explorer • 10 key data entry • Ability to organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints is required.EEO/AA Statement Global Industrial provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
