Role Description The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Bangor, ME. This position supports the finance and accounting functions by processing accounts payable and receivable, recording daily transactions, and assisting with invoicing and billing activities. The Accounting Assistant will help reconcile bank statements, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare basic reports for management. Responsibilities also include supporting month-end closing tasks, responding to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and account status, and coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Qualifications Candidates should possess core accounting skills such as accounts payable and receivable processing, basic bookkeeping, and transaction reconciliation. Candidates should possess proficiency with office and accounting software, including spreadsheets, accounting systems, and general computer literacy. Candidates should possess strong organizational and administrative skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in an accounting or finance support role, familiarity with IT or technology service environments, and a high school diploma or equivalent (an associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred). #J-18808-Ljbffr
