Maintenance Manager Instrumentation - Holly Springs, NC

We are looking for a Maintenance/Instrumentation Team Lead to support production equipment maintenance at Amgen’s Holly Springs manufacturing site. The role is on‑site and involves a 12‑hour rotating shift covering 24/7 production. Responsibilities Lead a team of 6 to 12 maintenance and instrumentation technicians. Provide mentorship, technical expertise, and field support to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues. Establish and enforce performance standards, ensuring accurate and safe work completion. Drive right‑first‑time outcomes, continuous improvement, and resource utilization. Minimize production disruption while maintaining schedule integrity. Manage maintenance service providers safely and cost‑effectively. Develop and manage small improvement projects, including predictive analytics tools. Assess team skill levels, provide development, and support staffing during nights, weekends, and holidays. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Doctorate OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of maintenance/operations experience. Associate’s degree with 5+ years of maintenance/operations experience. Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of maintenance/operations experience. High school diploma/GED with 12+ years of maintenance/operations experience. Minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience in a technical environment, including people, projects, or resource allocation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with computerized maintenance management systems. Bachelor’s degree in life science, technical, or related field. 6+ years of operations/manufacturing experience. 3+ years in regulated environments (cGMP, OSHA, EPA). Experience with ATO GMP F&E clients and systems. In-depth knowledge of GMP equipment and instrumentation. Support of GMP capital project execution and verification. Leadership in continuous improvement initiatives. Process improvement methodology proficiency. Strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize resources across multiple clients. Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for electro‑mechanical systems. Benefits Competitive base salary (USD $75,000 – $100,000; annual range $108,639 – $146,983).
