Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong banking and lending domain experience to support product-focused technology initiatives within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of lending products, customer journeys, business processes, data, and technology delivery, along with hands-on exposure to QA and software testing.

This role requires someone who can operate beyond traditional requirements gathering - someone who can understand the business case, map customer and operational journeys, define capabilities, document data flows, collaborate on UI/UX, manage ADO backlogs, establish KPIs, and work closely with QA and engineering teams through testing and release.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, technology teams, and QA to define and deliver lending products and capabilities within a banking environment.
• Analyze business problems, objectives, and opportunities and translate them into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop and maintain business cases, customer journey diagrams, process flows, capability maps, and functional documentation.
• Create and maintain data flows, data dictionaries, field-level definitions, business rules, and data mappings across lending applications and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with UX/product teams on wireframes, UI mockups, user journeys, and functional behavior, ensuring solutions meet business and customer needs.
• Own and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) backlogs, including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, priorities, and sprint readiness.
• Define and track product and operational KPIs, working with stakeholders to develop dashboards and identify opportunities for process/product improvement.
• Work closely with QA teams to develop test strategies, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and traceability between requirements and test coverage.
• Participate in functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing, validating that delivered functionality meets business requirements.
• Review defects, perform business-impact analysis, support triage, and work with engineering teams through resolution and retesting.
• Help establish and maintain regression and smoke test suites for critical lending journeys and business processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and delivery practices, including opportunities to introduce test automation and AI-enabled productivity improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise technology environments.
• Mandatory: Recent banking / financial services experience.
• Mandatory: Strong lending domain experience, preferably across areas such as loan origination, underwriting, servicing, credit decisioning, consumer lending, mortgage, commercial lending, or related lending platforms.
• Strong experience working in a Product Mindset, connecting business objectives, customer journeys, capabilities, technology, data, and measurable outcomes.

• Ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Data, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
