Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Hospitalist for urgent locum coverage in Eureka, CA. Candidates must have a clean malpractice history and an clear NPDB review to be considered. The role involves inpatient coverage with call-only schedule and 24-hour beeper call shifts.

• Dates of Need:
  • June 25 - 29
  • July 2 - 7
  • July 23 - 27
  • July 30 - August 1
• Shift Times: 6am-6am
• Provider Min Shifts Required: As specified above

Credentialing Requirements:

• Current CV (must be uploaded)
• Active CA license
• DEA required
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility within 3-5 years of residency
• NRP certification required
• All candidates must have an updated CV with hospital affiliations and meet privileging requirements, including at least 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty.

Additional Details:

• Must be skilled in neonatal airway management, intubation, management of air leaks/pneumothorax, emergent UVC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation.
• Preferred skills include ventilator management and chest tube insertion for neonates.
• No experience in external central line placements such as UVC/UAC outside the neonatal period; other procedures such as chest tubes and intubations are likely to be performed in ED by specialized staff.
