Atlantic Heating and Cooling Service, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Shop Foreman to join our team!Job description:Recruiting and hiring new employeesProviding training and helping technicians develop skillsEnsuring compliance with regulations affecting service operationsCreating and managing an employee scheduleConducting performance reviews for employeesKeeping up to date with manufacturer warranties and policiesChecking the progress of repairs and serviceGreeting customers and maintaining relationshipsHandling complaintsMaintaining work records and filesSupervising and training staffCreating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedulesOverseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operationsEnforcing safety regulations and protocolsConducting performance reviews with staffMeeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategiesImplementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiencyEnsuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintainedMonitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as neededPerforming administrative tasks such as updating and filing equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedulesSkills needed:High school diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseAt least ten years of experience as a shop foreman or similarProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordA great understanding of work optimization techniquesGood knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong leadership abilitiesGood time management and problem-solving skillsA willingness to work long hours and overtime, if neededAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBenefits:Health, dental, and vision; we pay 50% (after 60 days)401K (after one year of employment)Job type: Full-timeSalary: Based on experienceSchedule: 8-hour shift (or longer as needed)Work location: Virginia Beach
