Facilities Technician 1The Facilities Technician 1 performs facility maintenance duties at assigned facilities. Provides overall skills to maintain site wide facility operation. Responsible for task assignment, ensuring proper use of tools/equipment, and materials to complete tasks and safety huddles. Advises facilities supervisor/manager of any issues pertaining to operation of infrastructure. Respond to maintenance issues in a professional and timely manner. Assist with all aspects of facility maintenance.Position Responsibilities:Respond to maintenance issues – reactive maintenanceMaintain accurate and complete departmental recordsAssist management in scheduling facility projectsEvaluate, maintain and modify facility related maintenance issues to resolve potential interruption of serviceAssist in performing preventive, predictive and proactive maintenanceMaintain the company's inventory of general hardware, supplies, tools, and parts for facilities vehicles and equipmentManage the ordering process of supplies of parts for routine maintenance and special repairs on facilities vehicles and equipmentPerform repairs/maintenance of facilities assigned vehicles and equipmentAssist as needed with in-field repairs and maintenanceMaintain accurate service records on all vehicles and equipmentAssist in the development of a preventative maintenance program for all facilities equipment Goal is to minimize downtime of equipment by catching issues prior to major breakdownsTakes direction from facilities supervisor/manager/leadPerform duties safely, effectively and efficiently while maintaining a safe and clean work environment which complies with procedures, rules and regulationsNature & Scope:Works within well-defined instructionsUses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasksWork is closely supervisedCompetency:Knowledge and Skills:Skilled in basic construction, wiring, plumbing, basic electrical maintenance, equipment maintenance, HVAC systems, pneumatics and technical workAbility to use various tools and equipmentTroubleshooting skillsCore mechanical skillsSkilled in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) proceduresPlanning and organizational skillsGood computer skills – Excel, E-Mail, Word, Data entryGood communication skills – verbal and writtenAbility to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instructions and directions in EnglishGeneral knowledge of department-specific functionsAbility to safely operate industrial equipment; lift trucks / pickers; in house training and certification requiredExperience:Minimum 1 years of industrial facility maintenance experience requiredEducation/Certification:Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalentAssociates degree in mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, preferredPeople Management: NoPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodationsReports To: Facilities ManagerThe Company provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants regardless of a person's race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, uniform service member or veteran status, ancestry, disability, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, request for protected leave, marital status, sex, pregnancy, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, political affiliation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
