The Opportunity

A leading AmLaw 100 national law firm is seekingReal Estate Finance attorneys from Junior Associate through Junior Partner level to join its growing Real Estate Finance practice.

The firm is hiring across multiple established teams and is seeking attorneys with experience across a range of sophisticated commercial real estate finance matters, includingloan originations, refinancings, restructurings, preferred equity financings, warehouse lending structures, CRE repurchase ("repo") facilities, loan origination and bridge lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling sophisticated commercial Real Estate Finance transactions from initial structuring through closing
• Advising clients on loan originations, refinancings and restructurings
• Advising on bridge lending transactions
• Working on preferred equity financings and warehouse lending structures
• Handling commercial real estate repurchase ("repo") facilities
• Drafting and negotiating loan documentation and related financing documents
• Representing lenders and/or borrowers in sophisticated financing transactions
• Managing transactions independently while working closely with senior attorneys and clients
• Working directly with sophisticated institutional clients and transaction participants
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Collaborating with attorneys across Real Estate and other complementary practice areas
• For senior-level candidates, contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice

Candidate Profile

• 3 - 8+ years experience practicing Real Estate Finance
• Experience with loan originations, refinancings and/or restructurings
• Bridge lending experience
• Experience with preferred equity financings, warehouse lending structures and/or CRE repo facilities where applicable
• Lender-side experience preferred for relevant opportunities
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to manage complex transactions with a high degree of independence
• Experience working directly with sophisticated clients and transaction participants
• Strong academic and professional credentials
• Existing client relationships or portable business are welcomed at the senior level, but a substantial portable book is not necessarily required
