Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of electrical installation and engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will suit a commercially aware and technically capable professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.


Key responsibilities will include developing detailed project plans, programmes and budgets; coordinating design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities; and managing subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams. You will monitor progress against agreed milestones, identify and mitigate risks, manage variations and change control, and provide clear progress reports to senior stakeholders and clients. The role will also involve reviewing technical documentation, ensuring designs and installations comply with relevant regulations and specifications, and supporting the resolution of technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring effective handover and close-out documentation will be an important part of the position.


Applicants should have proven experience managing electrical projects, ideally within a construction, infrastructure, industrial or commercial environment. A strong understanding of electrical systems, project delivery methodologies, health and safety requirements, quality assurance and commercial controls is essential. Relevant electrical or project management qualifications are desirable, along with experience using project scheduling, cost management and reporting tools. You will need excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, with the confidence to lead teams, build effective working relationships and make sound decisions under pressure. A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are key to success in this role.
