Corporate Financial Controller

StevenDouglas has been retained exclusively on an outstanding Controller opportunity in Austin, Texas. In this newly created role and reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be a foundational finance leader responsible for building and scaling the company’s accounting, reporting, and internal control infrastructure as transitions from early revenue growth to operational scale. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and execution, ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑growth company environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of U.S. GAAP financial reporting for a publicly traded company Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial statement preparation Support public company filings , including MD&A, footnotes, and audit coordination Accounting Operations Build and scale the accounting function to support future revenue growth and manufacturing expansion Internal Controls & System’s Design and implement internal controls framework Lead implementation and optimization of NetSuite ERP Drive process automation and AI‑enabled efficiencies across accounting workflows Establish scalable processes aligned with public company best practices Strategic Finance Support Partner with the CFO on capital markets readiness, audits, and investor reporting Support cash management, burn tracking, and financial planning Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, R&D, and manufacturing leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing accounting team over time Manage external partners including auditors, tax advisors, and consultants Requirements CPA (active license required) 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles Public company experience Manufacturing industry experience, north of 100M in revenue Strong knowledge of technical accounting, internal controls, and financial systems Experience with NetSuite and a mindset for leveraging automation and AI tools Proven ability to operate in a high‑growth, ambiguous, and evolving environment #J-18808-Ljbffr StevenDouglas
