Our dual brand hotel is the Crown Jewel of central Georgia and features two highly regarded properties, restaurant, and direct access to 65,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Even as a new hotel, it dominates the group market segment in the area.

Your primary focus will be developing and nurturing local negotiated rate accounts, RFP's, and working with the sales team and hotel management in keeping our properties as leaders in the market. With this, you will be making sales calls at least 50% of the time.

Experience and a proven track record is required. This is not an entry level position.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $52,000 annually

Responsibilities:

• Counsel your sales team members, evaluate their performance, and offer suggestions for improvement
• Maintain long-lasting customer relationships and manage customer complaints to ensure we are meeting their needs
• Manage our sales team by creating a sales plan for each sales representative, setting individual sales targets, assigning sales territories, and overseeing ongoing training programs to set the team up for success
• Identify new sales opportunities, emerging markets, and lead generation programs to keep us growing
• Set our sales strategies and sales objectives to achieve our sales goals

• Develop new corporate, group, and local business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outside sales activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to increase repeat business and maximize hotel revenue.
• Conduct hotel tours, prepare proposals and contracts, and coordinate group reservations and event details with hotel operations.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals by identifying new revenue opportunities and maintaining an active sales pipeline.
• Represent the hotel within the local community by attending networking events, business functions, and industry meetings to promote the property and grow market share.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department
• Displays a proven track record of sales success
• Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field

• Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales, hospitality, or business development experience preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel property management or sales systems (FOSSE, OnQ, Opera, Delphi, or similar) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally for client meetings, networking events, and outside sales calls.
