Facility Manager
Location: Petaluma, CA
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 + Bonus
We're partnering with a well-established commercial real estate organization seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties throughout the North Bay.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, building strong tenant relationships, managing vendors, and ensuring facilities operate at the highest level.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a commercial property portfolio.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and work orders with the engineering team.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, bidding, contracts, scheduling, and performance.
- Review and approve vendor invoices.
- Prepare and manage operating and maintenance budgets.
- Coordinate capital improvement and repair projects.
- Ensure compliance with life safety regulations and building standards.
- Maintain maintenance records, contracts, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants regarding facility-related issues.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate after-hours repairs when necessary.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial facilities management, building operations, or commercial property management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, fire/life safety systems, and general building maintenance.
- Experience managing vendors, service contracts, maintenance budgets, and capital projects.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi Facility Manager or a similar CMMS is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
