Job Description The Director of Accounting reports to the CFO and is responsible for leading all accounting functions for Arvato North America, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial records and reporting. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll, indirect tax, and insurance, while partnering closely with other Finance and Business functions. The director of Accounting also collaborates with the central treasury team to manage payments. YOUR TASKS Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies, and corporate reporting requirements Oversee payroll and indirect tax Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure audit readiness and compliance Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for internal and external audits; coordinate audit requests and remediation of findings Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including performance management, succession planning, and talent development Support system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Tax, Legal, HR #J-18808-Ljbffr Bertelsmann-Jobs
