About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP of Finance to spearhead the financial strategy, planning, and reporting functions, with a specific focus on establishing a new business segment. The successful candidate will be tasked with directing budgeting and forecasting, overseeing financial reporting and controls, and building the necessary organizational, financial, and governance infrastructure to support the new line of business. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, and a proven track record in developing high-performing teams. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for guiding capital and investment decisions, partnering with various departments to ensure profitable growth, and translating financial insights into actionable business strategies. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA, CPA, or CFA. A minimum of 8-12 years' experience in finance, accounting, or financial leadership is required, with a strong emphasis on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a background in establishing operational and financial governance structures, as well as experience in building financial processes and teams from the ground up. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, as well as experience with ERP systems and financial reporting/BI tools, is essential. The role demands strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience in a large corporate, manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environment, and exposure to private equity or investor-backed settings, is a plus.
