What You'll Do

• Assist with construction inspection activities on roadway and transportation projects
• Observe and document construction progress and field conditions
• Verify work is being completed in accordance with project plans and specifications
• Perform or assist with materials testing, including asphalt, concrete, and soil testing
• Complete daily reports and project documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project personnel
• Promote safety and quality standards on active job sites
• Travel to project locations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Construction, engineering, materials testing, surveying, or related field experience preferred
• Interest in transportation, infrastructure, or civil construction projects
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain accurate documentation
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Desire to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the industry

Preferred Experience

• Construction inspection or materials testing experience
• Roadway, utility, site development, or transportation project experience
• Familiarity with NCDOT projects or specifications
• Existing certifications, including NCDOT, ACI, or related industry credentials

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
