Senior Clinical Scientist
ICON
Senior Clinical Scientist position in infectious disease (HIV) within a sponsor-dedicated model at a leading functional service provider. The role involves leading clinical trial execution, medical monitoring, protocol development, and cross-functional coordination for complex studies.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support clinical trial execution and serve as scientific point of contact for stakeholders
- Develop trial design, endpoints, and medical monitoring plans; oversee Medical Monitoring team activities
- Establish and support safety committees (SAC, DMC, adjudication); review and classify protocol deviations
- Coordinate protocol development, informed consent review, lab/imaging specifications, and data management specifications
- Prepare scientific materials, present at investigator meetings, and support CSR/publication development
Requirements
- BS/BA in Life Sciences with 7+ years clinical research experience, or MS/PhD with 5+ years
- Minimum 2 years experience as lead Clinical Scientist in pharmaceutical/drug development
- Medical monitoring experience required
- Oncology experience required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in US or Canada; no visa sponsorship needed
