Payroll Clerk

Payroll ClerkAs a Clerk on SSD's Payroll team, you will help deliver one of the District's most important services by ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with your teammates and departments across the organization to process payroll information, maintain accurate records, and provide responsive support to employees. Through your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, you will help build confidence and trust in the payroll process while supporting the District's mission of serving students.Clerks work in our Central Office, 12110 Clayton Road, Town & Country, MO, 63131, Monday through Friday, typically from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferredOne to three years of progressively responsible payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial office experience preferredExperience using computerized payroll or financial management systems preferredIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office requiredSalary$22.41 to $25.87 based on experienceCalendar12-month positionBenefitsGroup benefit plans for medical, vision, dental, and life insuranceEnrollment in Missouri Public School Retirement SystemsPaid holidays15 PTO days per year10 vacation days accrued annuallyEmployee assistance programHealthcare spending accountSpecial School District serves nearly 25,000 students and employs over 5,700 staff in St. Louis County.
