BEPC is actively looking for Research Associate III Assay Development, in Tucson, AZ area!

W2 Contract – 2 years with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $34.00/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: This is a fully onsite position.

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate III – Assay Development to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation for ongoing projects.

The position will design, execute, and interpret experiments and apply technical expertise toward project strategies. The Research Associate III will prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses, present results to the team, and maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation in compliance with applicable company policies, including GMP, GLP, and Design Control.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support projects.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments and apply technical expertise toward project strategies.
• Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Present experimental results to the team.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and records in compliance with company policies, including GMP, GLP, and Design Control.
• Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.
• Contribute process improvement suggestions.
• Assist in identifying patentable inventions.
• Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.
• Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.

Main Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences.
• Experience: 4 – 6 years of relevant job experience.
• Wet Laboratory Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized wet laboratory techniques, including examples such as: Pipetting, using a balance, using a stir plate, Capable of searching scientific literature.
• Skilled with: Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Presentation software.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Coachable and collaborative.
• Proven ability and desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAFe/Agile planning processes and reporting frameworks.
