Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA, a recently designated Level II Trauma Center, is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their growing team. This full-time, call-taking position offers an opportunity to work in a community hospital with increasing obstetric and surgical case volumes. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care within a well-established local anesthesia practice that has served the hospital for over 40 years. Practice Info Community hospital with 340 beds Features around-the-clock pediatric and adult emergency room care Home to the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery Center, The Heart Center at Henrico Doctors', Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Primary Stroke Center, Women's Hospital, and the Virginia Transplant Center (specialty in kidney transplants) Local practice also provides coverage to Retreat Doctors' Hospital, Parham Doctors' Hospital, and five ambulatory surgical centers Case assignments include General, L&D, Endo, GYN, EP, Radiology, Ortho, Cardiac, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Urology-Cysto, Plastics, and Urology Henrico Doctors' Hospital has been served by the same local anesthesia practice since it opened over 40 years ago; the practice joined NAPA in 2014 Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $575,000 Sign-On Bonus Incentives: $150,000 Loan repayment or training assistance program options available Profit-sharing Benefits Generous paid time off Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule Full Time-Call Taking Requirements M.D./D.O.
