This busy hospital provides comprehensive surgical services with established anesthesia protocols designed to support quality patient care delivery. The facility operates under a supervision model with MD supervised CRNA staffing to manage diverse surgical specialties. The hospital maintains modern anesthesia capabilities while serving patients requiring general, neurological, orthopedic, obstetric, and pediatric procedures.

Richmond offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities centered around the James River, including kayaking and rafting on class III and IV rapids, as well as exploring Belle Isle park. The area features Virginia Commonwealth University's campus, a scenic riverfront for strolling, and an active live music scene. The anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during 8-10 hour day shifts from 07:00-15:30 managing general, neurological, orthopedic, obstetric, and pediatric cases. The clinician will supervise CRNAs in a 1:4 ratio with 50% hands-on patient care involvement. The position operates under a supervision model with no call requirements and board certification is required. The credentialing process requires 60 days completion time.
