Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 8 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (44 week assignment)
• Job Setting: Hospital, 34 anesthesia rooms
• Types of Cases: Endoscopy, General, Ortho
• Credentialing: 90 days (Emergency privileges under 30 days and Temporary privileges 30-60 days available)

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: BCRNA
• Certifications: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Licensure: Current license as a registered professional nurse; Virginia state license (possible to obtain, but ideally would already have)
• Education: Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
