UX Designer

Lead the experience strategy and design for one or more products from concept to production.
Ø Work collaboratively with product owner and scrum team to create solutions which support business goals and work within technical constraints, while optimizing the experience for users.
Ø For each project, understand the business problem deeply, and identify the human problem. Advocate for the user throughout, using best practices and research data to support design rationale. Clearly articulate the rationale.
Ø Use a wide variety of user research techniques from concept to implementation to understand mental models, user needs, and patterns of behavior to test assumptions, inform the design and influence prioritization.
Ø Plan and facilitate workshops to identify the problem, create user empathy, and lead ideation for solutions.
Ø Use tools such as empathy maps, journey maps, and workflow diagrams to help articulate current and desired experiences.
Ø Identify user goals and set appropriate quantitative and qualitative metrics for success.
Ø Create low or high-fidelity wireframes or prototypes that include interaction design, content and visual design at the right level of detail needed to communicate the intent of the design.
Ø Lead design reviews with the team and with stakeholders, both internal and external. Synthesize feedback and iterate. Rinse and repeat.
Ø Understand enough about the technical environment to be familiar with its limitations.
Ø Collaborate with development and QA throughout the implementation process to answer questions and pivot when technical constraints require changes to the solution.
Ø Support the use of styles and patterns from the design system, and contribute new patterns as needed.
Ø Take an active role in evangelizing a user-centered design culture.
Ø Participate in wider Product Design Team processes and initiatives.
Ø Mentor junior designers and provide feedback to other designers in design reviews and ad hoc sessions.
Ø Identify opportunities for improvement in both agile and design processes.
Ø Other duties as assigned.
