You'll coach and develop a team of manufacturing technicians while driving continuous improvement initiatives that help our site operate efficiently and successfully.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating a positive, high-performing team culture.What You'll DoLead and support a team of manufacturing technicians during daily operations.Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.Ensure manufacturing activities comply with established procedures, cGMP requirements, and quality standards.Monitor production performance and resolve issues to keep operations running efficiently.Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams.Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.Train, mentor, and develop employees to build a skilled and engaged workforce.Conduct performance discussions, provide coaching, and recognize employee achievements.Support production planning and help ensure customer commitments are met.Minimum QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED required.Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment.Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and resource planning.Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience is highly desirable.Experience working in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments preferred.What Will Help You SucceedStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.Experience documenting work accurately and following quality and safety procedures.Comfortable collaborating across departments to achieve production goals.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hair covering, and additional PPE as required.Why Join Thermo Fisher Scientific?At Thermo Fisher Scientific, your work has purpose.
