The Supervisor works to increase the number and diversity of licensed foster families by engaging community partners, supporting recruitment campaigns, and guiding prospective families through the initial states of the fostering process. Assists with managing the program’s budget by monitoring children/youth, family and staff expenditures. Directly supervises the day-to-day operations of FCH Recruiters and Training Staff. Responsible for overseeing staff schedules, employee evaluations, and resolving staff conflicts. Provides leadership for staff by modeling expectations and behaviors consistent with the mission and values of Saint Francis Ministries. Holds monthly intentional and individual supervision meetings with all staff assigned and documents the interaction. Collaborate closely with the Supervisor of Licensing to ensure recruitment efforts align with the needs of children and youth in care and a seamless transition from the application process to the licensing process. Provides coaching, training, and guidance to recruitment staff to improve engagement and outreach effectiveness. Ensure recruitment staff maintain accurate documentation of inquiries, contacts, and follow-ups. Research potential recruitment practices that may effectively work in rural and frontier regions and shares the findings with the Director of Recruitment. Identify barriers to recruitment and recommend improvements to outreach strategies. Assists with the annual Foster Parent Appreciation event. Implements a comprehensive foster family recruitment strategy to meet current and projected placement needs. Assists with the state of Kansas annual Diligent Recruitment plan. Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, faith-based groups, businesses, schools, and other stakeholders to support recruitment efforts. Manage recruitment campaigns, informational events, and public awareness initiatives to promote foster parenting. Ensures recruitment strategies reach diverse communities and reflect the cultural needs of children and youth in care. Assists with developing marketing materials, messaging, and outreach strategies to effectively communicate the need for foster families. Represents the organization professionally and positively at community events, conferences, and public forums. Manages the physical environment in offices by making sure the space is clean, in good repair, and safe for children/youth/families and staff. Promotes a positive relationship throughout Saint Francis Ministries. Responsible for following the organization’s onboarding process and training of new staff. Facilitates regular team meetings to review policy, outcomes, and changes within the organization. On-call rotation where you will be available outside of regular working hours to address any urgent issues that arise during your rotation. The essential functions during on-call periods include: Availability: Ensure that you are reachable via phone or designated communication channels at all times during the on-call period. Rapid Response: Respond to all calls or notifications immediately. Problem Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly. If unable to resolve an issue independently, escal Travel: Be prepared to travel short notice to various locations throughout the State as required to address on-site issues. This may include travel to company facilities, client sites, or other relevant locations. Documentation: Record all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the designated documentation system or log. Ensure that a clear handover is provided if the issue extends beyond the on-call period Travel throughout the state of Kansas to visit assigned offices at least monthly and attend internal or external meetings. Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of children, families, staff, and community partners. Implements SFM policies and follows directives as required. Adheres to and ensures staff follow all pertinent SFM Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state, and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. Reports critical incidents to DCF according to policy. Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels. Ensures clients’ rights are protected. Is knowledgeable of and ensures staff follows all safety procedures. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in social work or human service degree from an accredited college or university. MAPP Foundations and Deciding Together Leader. First Aid/CPR preferred. Two years’ experience in child welfare direct services, foster care homes, or child placement services. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a drug screen, State and Federal Background Checks, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check FBI Fingerprint check Lifting Requirements of 30 - 50 lbs.
