Special Procedures Radiology Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Special Procedures Radiology Technologist with hybrid OR experience and extensive endovascular expertise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment and capable of functioning independently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interventional procedures including FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, embolization, and TAVRs.
• Utilize advanced equipment and techniques including Zeego and Pheno systems for vascular imaging.
• Work with specialized devices such as Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, and Medrad.
• Maintain accurate patient records through EPIC charting system.
• Assist in troubleshooting advanced vascular features and operations of hybrid imaging modalities.
• Ensure proper use and handling of vascular supplies (balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, sheaths, etc.).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in interventional radiology.
• Hybrid OR experience is mandatory, with a minimum of 1 year of experience using Zeego and Pheno systems.
• Knowledge of PACS and Siemens portable C-arm operations, including digital subtraction and road mapping techniques.
• Current certifications: ARRT and BLS.
• Must possess a radiation badge provided by the agency.
• Candidates must have the ability to work flexible hours, including call and holiday shifts as needed.
• Experience with EPIC charting is necessary; previous work in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching facility is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 4x10-day shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some shifts potentially occurring later depending on unit needs. A flexible call schedule is expected, averaging approximately 8 calls per month. Travelers should also be aware of potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
