Manufacturing Trainee (Machinist 1)

Our Waukesha location has an opening for a 3rd shift Manufacturing Trainee (Machinist) position. This is an entry-level role that requires NO EXPERIENCE in manufacturing. Hours: 10:30 pm – 7 am, Sunday – Friday The starting pay for this position is $21/hour plus $1/hour shift differential. Employees are eligible for two, 50‑cent increases over the first year if they pass the competency assessments. Qualifications Education & Experience No manufacturing experience required High school diploma or GED equivalent (high school preferred) Skills & Abilities Willingness to learn Ability to take direction and feedback Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work independently and on a team Flexible to work overtime Ability to become certified to operate a sit‑down forklift Ability to learn and become proficient with inventory management system Excellent time management skills and ability to multi‑task and shift focus for priority needs Able to meet physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to: Lifting up to 30 lbs. Infrequent pushing/pulling of cart Positioning material with the assistance of carts and overhead cranes Standing/walking up to 8 hours per shift Vision abilities include close vision in the inspection of the work Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay for this position is $21.00 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
