Assistant General Manager

Gerber Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day operation of a high-volume hospitality venue. The AGM will help lead the team, maintain service and operational standards, manage costs, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The compensation for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually. Key Responsibilities Support the GM in all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, service, cleanliness, maintenance, atmosphere, and overall venue readiness. Lead and develop front‑of‑house employees, including training, scheduling, performance management, and coaching. Maintain a strong presence on the floor and ensure consistent execution of Gerber Group service and hospitality standards. Monitor sales, labor, inventory, comps, voids, and other operating costs while identifying opportunities to improve performance. Build relationships with guests, resolve issues professionally, and create a welcoming environment. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, liquor, and employment regulations. Maintain accurate daily reporting and management logs. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees. Communicate operational issues promptly and work closely with the GM and senior management. Stay current on hospitality trends and continually look for ways to improve the operation and guest experience. Who We Are Looking For A hands‑on, organized hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and team leader with excellent judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to hospitality. Requirements Minimum 3 years of hospitality management or supervisory experience, preferable in a high-volume, full-service bar or restaurant. Strong knowledge of POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
