Diesel Bus Mechanic

Academy Busis is seeking a full‑time Class C Diesel Mechanic for our Perth Amboy, NJ location. We offer a $2,500 sign‑on bonus and an hourly pay rate of $23.00–$28.00 (commensurate with experience). This position is a 2nd Shift role. Responsibilities Repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose modern tour buses. Recondition, perform preventive and routine maintenance. Complete general lubrication tasks, including oil/filters, air filters, chassis lubrication, transmission and differential fluids, and axle/wheel servicing. Inspect, install, disassemble, and clean components under supervision (brake components, suspension components, tires, seats). Maintain warranty and repair documentation. Assist A and B Level Mechanics with skilled work. Requirements 1–4 years of hands‑on experience, diesel engine maintenance preferred. Minimum personal tool value of $2,000. Proven ability to use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, and testing instruments. Valid driver’s license. Basic computer skills.
