Physician Assistant – Nights & Weekends Surgery Team District Medical Group (DMG) is a leading provider in the Phoenix area, recognized for outstanding leadership, innovation, and dedication to patients and communities. DMG is actively recruiting a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Surgery to support our surgical subspecialties—hand, plastic & reconstructive, and urology—at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VWH), a public hospital and a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center. The PA will assist attending surgeons on the service lines to deliver quality patient care and will cover nights and weekends as part of a team rotation. Essential Responsibilities Provide consultation and conduct history and physical examinations of patients in inpatient and emergency department settings. Enter patient orders as directed by supervising physician. Review and discuss results of medical imaging and laboratory studies with attending physicians, hospital staff, residents, and/or patients as appropriate. Make hospital rounds and write daily patient notes. Prepare discharge summaries. Assist attending surgeons in the operating room. Perform emergency department and/or bedside procedures as directed or delegated by supervising physician. Benefits A strong healthcare package including medical, dental, and vision—eligible Day One.
