Shop Service Technician, San Antonio TX

Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician Responsibilities Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures Follow and promote The Terex Way Values Work on a wide array of equipment including truck-mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks and cranes Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems Convey information to fellow Terex team members as appropriate Meet or exceed the training requirements for self-development during the year Utilize current technology to support everyday work functions Qualifications High school diploma or GED A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, and battery-operated impact gun) Skills & Abilities 5+ years in a similar field Excellent communication skills: both oral and written Basic computer skills Experience with utility-type equipment, along with Genie & or JLG Extensive knowledge of Terex products (e.g., Hi-Ranger, Telelect Fluid Power Society certification) Ability to work in a team-based, safety-focused workplace Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions Ability to stand on concrete for 8+ hours per shift Ability to climb ladders and over and under vehicles Tolerable to heights Compensation The compensation range for this position is $25-$33 hourly.
