About the Position

Travel RN – Med/Surg (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Manage chronic illness and disability needs for patients on a 29-bed Med/Surg unit
• Perform daily physical assessments and reassess with any change in patient status
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Update and review care plans and patient education on a weekly basis
• Write clinical notes as needed to reflect patient progress and clinical decisions
• Ensure patient safety and advocate for patient well-being throughout the care continuum; float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Maine or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Med/Surg setting with a focus on chronic illness and disability management
• Comfort with float assignments across similar unit types
