Description

• Assess patients from children to seniors using established methods and observational analysis.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress and reinforce therapy outside the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure uninterrupted care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development through education and teamwork.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the ASHA certification has not been achieved yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of joining.
