Primary Care PhysicianAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Primary Care Physicians to deliver on-site outpatient primary care at the Hyannis VA Clinic located at 233 Stevens Street, Barnstable, MA 02601. The schedule is typically Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive primary care services to Veteran patients.Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.Perform initial evaluation, treatment, and management of: Minor wound careRespiratory illnessesGastrointestinal illnessesBurnsMusculoskeletal injuriesDermatologic conditionsENT conditionsEye disordersUrologic conditionsManage chronic diseases including: Coronary artery diseaseAtherosclerotic vascular diseaseType I and Type II diabetesHypertensionHyperlipidemiaPTSDDepressionOther chronic medical and behavioral health conditionsFollow all VA medication management policies and procedures.Ensure timely communication of patient test results.Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR).Select and document appropriate Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes.Complete documentation and coding by the end of each patient encounterParticipate in quality improvement and performance improvement activities.Attend Primary Care staff meetings (biweekly).Attend additional staff meetings as required.Complete QA/QI documentation.Participate in peer reviews, OPPE, and FPPE evaluations.Report patient safety events within 24 hours using the VA Patient Safety Reporting System.Follow all infection control and patient safety requirements.Qualifications:Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineActive, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaCurrent BLS and ACLs through the American Heart AssociationNPI report printoutActive DEA licenseHas and maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMust be able to pass a federal background investigationNo sponsorship availableAll candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
