Assistant Corporate Controller - CPA

A well-established, growing organization in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to partner with executive leadership while leading key accounting functions in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee general accounting activities, including account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. Support financial reporting, internal controls, and audit activities. Partner with leadership on process improvements and operational efficiencies. Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team. Collaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes and reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA required. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience. Public accounting and/or private industry experience considered. Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
