Staff Software Engineer

Staff Software Engineer We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to provide technical leadership across high-impact engineering initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with a product-minded approach and enjoys solving complex business problems through scalable software solutions. You will play a key role in expanding engineering capabilities, driving architectural improvements, and helping the team execute on a new generation of platform and product initiatives. Responsibilities Lead projects end-to-end, from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization Partner closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions Design and develop distributed, service-oriented systems capable of handling large datasets and high traffic volumes Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve the overall engineering strategy and technology stack Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices Build and maintain high-quality full-stack applications using Python/Django on the backend and React on the frontend Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and developer efficiency Qualifications 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience building scalable full-stack applications Expertise with Python and Django Frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence architectural direction Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments Preferred Experience Experience working with large datasets and data-intensive applications Background in high-growth or fast-paced engineering environments Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives across teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Next Ventures
