Every weekend, in addition to two weekdays on either 11a-7p or noon to 8p. Weekly pay at $17.50 an hour.

Job Description:

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is seeking a full-time Cook to join our dynamic care team in North Easton. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for our patients and residents.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper serving temperatures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your passion for food and commitment to excellent patient care will make you a valuable addition to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians
• Ensure proper serving temperature of food
• Maintain visual appeal of food
• Monitor daily nourishments and follow standardized recipes
• Ensure proper portion control
• Adhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedure
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager

Requirements:

• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Knowledge of dining service procedures, related laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Ability to lead and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
